Bates Glycerine Soap should be the first step in your leather care program. It can be used on all leather products but is specially formulated for Bates Saddles and accessories.
Using a damp cloth, remove any surface dirt before applying the glycerine saddle soap. Work the soap into the leather using circular motions to form a lather that will lift dirt and sweat.
Using a clean, damp cloth, remove any excess saddle soap.
Once dry, use Bates Leather Balsam to replenish the moisture content and form a protective barrier.
Treated in this way your leather will remain supple with rich colour and longevity.
